Kahaani movie is an unusual suspense thriller movie, released recently, directed by Sujoy Ghosh. Starring Vidya Balan in the lead role. This film is amazing, having exceptional climax!

Vidya Balan plays a pregnant woman Vidya Bagchi who comes to Kolkata from London in search of her missing husband Arnab Bagchi. She comes to know that her husband never arrived there and according to the records he doesn’t exist. But Vidya is very sure as she already knows the set -up of the hotel where Arnab stayed two months before. A shocking fact that her husband Arnab Bagchi closely resembles a man called Milan Damji, leaves already distressed Vidya completely perplexed. She meets different people to find the truth. In this quest an inspector Rana helps her immensely.

Will she find her husband Arnab Bagchi? Who is Milan Damji?

It would be unfair to disclose the suspense.

Vidya Balan, once again performed splendidly. She often gives the opportunity to see some really nice, woman centric movies. She is definitely emerging as one of the finest actresses of Indian cinema.  Parambrata Chattopadhyay as Rana is a fresh face and portrayed his character well. The Bengali background has been used perfectly.

The film is thrilling, gripping, entertaining and full of surprises.  A very unique storyline crafted by Advaita Kala (Author of Almost Single) which is the USP of the film. The entire crew and cast of this film have done an incredible job. Definitely a must see movie. Highly recommended!

Author Linda Lael Miller said “I’ve never met a Macomber book I didn’t love!”

Author Jayne Ann Krentz said “Debbie Macomber’s name on a book is a guarantee of delightful, warmhearted romance.”

I truly second these statements!

Apart from a love story ‘Moon over Water’ is a crime thriller, not my choice of genre, yet I chose to read it, just because the author’s name was Debbie Macomber and I’m glad I read it.

This novel is about an ordinary life to an extraordinary love!

Lorraine is a nurse, engaged to Gary. She had known that her father died when she was just three but her mother’s untimely death upended her life, revealing a shocking truth that her father was alive!

Desperate to know why her parents lied to her, she travels in search of her father. She finds him but before she could ask the truth she finds herself trapped in an accusation of theft. Her father asks Jack Keller to take Lorraine safely to the United States.

Lorraine and Jack together sail in Jack’s boat for many days, initially detesting each other but in these few days too many things happen and they grow loving each other immensely yet unable to express.

As usual, the author has expressed the emotions very well and made this novel a lovely read!

In schools and colleges, students always want to know Who got which rank in the class? A student feels ecstatic if he/she stands first. Students and their parents feel somewhat satisfied if they or their child manages a rank in top 5 /Top 10.

“Who stood first?”, “Who got the highest mark in that particular subject?”  are some common questions to know among students. Parents are always eager to know that which rank their child has attained. Top rankers always interest people.

Apart from this people always want to know about the top personalities of various fields.

Recently, I came across a very interesting site “It’s My Countdown”

It deals with top 5 /Top 10 of different fields. It provides the top rankers in Cinema, Books, Sports, Music, Business etc. The rank seems almost genuine. I think this entertaining site deserves regular visits. Also, if you have any kind of Top 5 /Top 10 in your mind, you can contribute your views.

Blows of fate detached
The blissful togetherness
Memories still haunts

Heart yearns to get back
Those golden moments, pain seems
Beyond endurance

In extreme adversity
When everyone disconnects
Tears refuse to stay in your eyes
Smile hesitate to appear on your lips
You find a connection with
An eternal friend
Always stays with you
It’s your shadow
That gives you a hope
That you’re not alone!

Under the heat of sun
Tree stands straight
Hoping to get a tender touch
Breeze kisses it softly
A connection develops
Tree dances in delight
Breeze blushes!

Eyes held with each other
A captivating glance
Establishes a connection
Expresses feelings without a word
Allowing emotion to churn inside
Love burgeons!

Nurture your amateur dreams
In life, you must have themes
Chisel diligently your skill
Strengthen your will
Look straight at the aim
A destination with your name
Don’t let determination rest
Sometimes patience may seem a test
In the light of hope…
Failure will say its adieu
Trust your ability
Triumph can never betray you

So, finally, after loads of expectation, waiting, judgments and criticism, our very own Master Blaster, Sachin Tendulkar attained an incredible milestone.  Patience paid really well as today he graced his bat with magnificent 100th century of his international cricket career.

Today playing against Bangladesh, he scored his 100th hundred in 138 balls. He made his last (99th) century against South Africa on 12th March 2011 at Nagpur during the world cup. He has 51 centuries in the test cricket and today he scored his 49th hundred in ODI cricket.

It’s really an incredibly special, emotional and indeed a HISTORICAL moment for Sachin and Indians. Sachin is Great and he deserves a
HUGE CONGRATULATION and BLESSINGS
.

Congratulations Sachin!!  We feel proud to witness that precious moment and we are proud of you!

Today I finished reading If it’s not forever… it’s not love jointly authored by Durjoy Datta and Nikita Singh. This is my first book by Durjoy Datta and second by Nikita Singh. I’ve read her debut novel Love @ Facebook and quite liked that.

This book tells a unique love story of Ritam and Ragini. Deb who survived in a bomb blast gets a burnt diary on the spot. The diary belongs to some RD who had poured his heart in it. He deeply loved Ragini but couldn’t tell her.

Thinking that RD (Ritam Dey) must have died in the blast, Deb, his girlfriend Avantika, his best friend Shrey and Shrey’s girlfriend Tiya (Who just turned 18), together on a road-trip, try to connect the dots and find Ragini. They want her to know that how much Ritam loved her and died without telling her.

This book is full of surprises and especially towards the end it becomes so gripping and interesting. It says a really beautiful love story. Character of Ritam is so adorable.

Storyline is very unique. But few things really irritated me in this book.

First: frequent use of abusive language which was annoying and not necessary at all. It definitely doesn’t represent your modernity and independence.

Second: Too much and absolutely unnecessary and pointless sex sequences. I think it ruined the beauty and innocence of this storyline. Also this book provides a very poor definition of “Turning 18”.

Everything is shrouded in ink black darkness. Eerie silence is stretched all over. He can see nothing but still some rattling sounds make him realizes that he is wandering in a deep forest. He is lost. Unable to comprehend, where to go.

Suddenly, a spot of light blinks. Gradually, it broadens. A figure appears from nowhere. It’s a girl. Who is she? He thinks. She comes closer. Much closer. His heart is pounding against his chest. Has he seen her ever? He puts some pressure on his memory. No! Certainly not! She is the most gorgeous girl he has ever seen. The girl parts her sensual red lips to say something. Her deep enchanting eyes smile. He waits. She extends her hands. His heart leaps.

Suddenly everything starts shaking. Earthquake! He stretches his hand to catch that girl. Strange, but he feels great concern for her. A bizarre connection. Then the entire surrounding baths in bright light. He looks for that girl. She is nowhere. His heart aches. A familiar face hovers near his face. Mohit! He shouts.

“Oh you broke my sweet dream. There was a beautiful girl in deep forest. A girl with perfectly shaped red lips and enchanting eyes. She was about to say something when you…”

“God Varun! You and your meaningless dreams. How can you see such dramatic and meaningless dreams every time you sleep? I seldom watch any dream. You know what you always use to think nonsense, that’s why.” Mohit says in exasperation.  “Leave it. We’re getting late.” Mohit says and runs towards the bathroom.

After an hour, along with hundreds of vehicle, Varun’s bike halts near traffic signal. The road is buzzing with loud yet undecipherable voices. Varun looks around as he waits for the traffic signal to turn green.

His wandering eyes stop suddenly. They fix on a beautiful girl, holding a bunch of white lilies. She is crossing the road. God! Varun’s heart skips several beats. She is the same girl from his dream! Exactly same! Same fuller red lips. Same enchanting eyes! Maybe it’s an illusion. Varun tries to be logical. He waits impatiently for that girl to come a little closer. He desperately wants to have a more distinct look. His heart triples its rate. “How could it be?” He thinks as the girl crosses her bike and looks at him briefly. She is the same girl! Varun wants to stop her. But…the signal goes green and the vehicles start to pace. Varun starts the engine and looks at the girl who gradually vanishes in the crowd. He wants to call her. He knows, he will never see that girl again. Not in his dreams and not in reality. Perhaps. But how could it be!? This question whirls in his mind as his bike races ahead.

P.S: I dream a lot and sometimes I see very clear unknown faces, though I tend to forget them in one or two days. I keep thinking do they really exist in this world? What if I meet them someday?

What!?
What did you say?
What are you saying?
Really?
Are you sure?
These are some expressions
People generally exclaim
Hearing problem is not to blame
Like confirmation tests in
Chemistry labs
People often press
The confirmation tab
Sometimes it seems essential
Sometimes okay
Sometimes irritating and
Sometimes funny
A girl in her coaching center
Asked the next schedule of her class
From her very devoted mentor
“Come tomorrow at 3 o’clock”
Said the sir
“3 o’clock? In the afternoon, sir?”
The girl tried to confirm.

(A teacher cannot be so devoted to teach at 3 o’clock at night. Can he?)
